Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 July 2026. This explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

Munneru (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates an exam preparation platform for Tamil Nadu competitive exams. This policy applies to everyone who uses munneru.com, whether or not you've created an account. Munneru is based in India and this policy is governed by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).

2. Information we collect

We collect only what's needed to run the service:

  • Account information — your email address and how you signed up (email & password, or Google sign-in).
  • Exam and study preferences — which exams you're preparing for, and your language preference.
  • Practice and progress data — questions you've attempted, your answers, accuracy over time, bookmarks, and notes you write on topics.
  • Subscription and payment status — your plan (Free, Single exam, or Pro), billing cycle, and payment confirmation status. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details — those are handled entirely by our payment processor, Razorpay.

3. Why we collect it

Every field above exists to deliver a specific part of the service: exam selections drive which lessons and questions you see, attempt history powers your accuracy stats and the AI Copilot's study plan, and subscription status determines what's unlocked. We don't collect data for advertising, and we don't sell your data to anyone.

4. Third parties we work with

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run Munneru:

  • Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication (including Google sign-in). Your account and study data live here.
  • Razorpay — processes subscription payments. Razorpay handles your payment details directly; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.
  • Groq — powers the AI Copilot's recommendation sentences. Only the specific topic name, accuracy, and weightage numbers needed for that one sentence are sent — never your email, full profile, or unrelated study history.

We don't share your data with any other third party for their own purposes.

5. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information — most of this you can already edit yourself in Settings.
  • Delete your account and data entirely. This is self-serve: go to Settings → Danger zone while signed in. Deleting your account removes your profile, subscription history, practice attempts, progress, bookmarks, and notes, and cannot be undone.

For any request we haven't made self-serve yet, email us at privacy@munneru.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed immediately and permanently as described above — we don't keep a shadow copy “just in case.” Some non-personal, aggregated data (e.g. overall question difficulty statistics) may be retained after deletion since it no longer identifies you.

7. Security

Access to your data is protected by row-level security policies at the database level, so your study data is only ever readable by your own account (or, for verified exam content, publicly by design). Payment processing happens entirely on Razorpay's infrastructure, not ours.

8. Children's privacy

Munneru is intended for people preparing for competitive exams, which in practice means users of at least 13 years of age. We don't knowingly collect data from children younger than that.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Munneru after a change means you accept the updated policy.

10. Contact us
